Tweet, Tweet! Who is it?..Backchannel.

Now I can see both positive and negative effects backchannel can have on students. It is helpful to those who do not understand what is happening in class because tweets are constantly summarizing and making comments on the topic that is given in class. It's a bunch of minds coming together and sharing their ideas and opinions within seconds. This creates students to think outside of the box and reflect on the thoughts of other classmates. But not everything is okay with backchannel, it does have its disadvantages. Some students might get distracted, as they are reading the tweets and not paying attention to what is going on in class. They might miss out on some information or not pay attention to what is going on at all.
