The Independant Study, do Student Learn More?

It is human nature, that we learn more if we like what we are studying. Students at Marblehead High School have found it easier to learn some subjects where they thought they were never going to be able to learn. But in life, we are not going to like everything that we learn, since we are constantly learning new things. Therefore, I believe that although this method could be implemented for some studies, it might not be able to fully work. When students enter the real world, they are going to be confronted with problems that they don't necessarily alter the way that they are solved. Also, classes have been taught in the same, standard manner since over 100 years ago, so why wouldn't traditional learning work now? Yes, our problems now are more complex, and Yes we have developed technology that could enhance learning. But we also need to take into consideration the discipline and effort we put into learning the traditional way pays off in the long run.
