Different Ideas of Learning the Basics

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Los Altos, California does not implement technology whatsoever in their learning. Students go to school prepared to engage their brains on hands-on material. Teachers believe that students at this age, should not be using google because they do not know how to utilize it yet. I agree with this statement, totally. Students at a young age should not be using technology to learn. We must learn the basics on our own. We must be able to do simple math problems without reaching for a calculator. Using technology can limit our intelligence and our ability to think for ourselves. I believe that elementary nor middle schools should implement much technology in their learning. Without learning the basics on our own, we will not be able to learn harder material.
